Michigan Ability Partners (MAP) create pathways to stability for people with disabilities and Veterans in the Southeast Michigan community. This organization helps these individuals with housing, employment, and finances. Over 1500 individuals in the area benefit from MAP’s services. MAP is a consistent resource to help those in need, ready to support and guide each participant along the path toward increased independence. These individuals with disabilities and Veterans move through the program toward the goal of an independent life.
MAP holds several events throughout the year to help with fundraising that bring local businesses and the MAP community together to support the program and services provided. After cancellations in 2020 and virtual events in 2021, MAP is ready for in-person events again and will hold a celebration, called “Another Chance to Bloom”, at Weber’s Hotel on April 22nd. This event will include food, music, and a fundraising auction and raffle, as well as a brief presentation of how MAP works with the community and how community businesses can help.
Twin Oaks Landscape, as a strong local business in the Southeast Michigan community, is proud of the work MAP does and we’re thrilled to not only be a MAP partner, but a sponsor of this event as well. Partnering with an organization like the Michigan Ability Partners gives us a chance to make impactful connections with our community. We’re so happy to be a part of MAP’s mission and their work in the Southeast Michigan community.
This event will be both a celebration of the return to in-person events and a wonderful opportunity to raise funds and awareness for Michigan Ability Partners. We look forward to a continued partnership with such a worthy organization in the Southeast Michigan community.
