Dogs are curious creatures.  If you have a pet that is frequently chewing on your plant material, or that digs a lot in the yard, you may want to consult a list of poisonous plant material.

There are over 700 plants that can be a potential hazard for your pet.  The most common ones are bulbs, such as daffodils, tulips, crocus, lilies and lily of the valley.  Other plants include hydrangea, azalea, lenten rose, tomato, potato vines, delphinium, foxglove, iris, boxwood, pachysandra and vinca (myrtle).

A great resource for a list of toxic and safe plants can be found here, at the ASPCA website:http://www.aspca.org/pet-care/animal-poison-control/dogs-plant-list
